MR Diagnostics Incubator System LMT nomag® IC provides a stable climate with bactericidal humidification as required for premature and newborn babies weighing up to 4.5 kg and a maximum body length of up to 55 cm. Its unique design provides safe care of the patient as well as efficient functioning during MRI examinations and intrahospital transportation.
In a clinical setting, the nomag® IC significantly improves patient throughput by allowing all the patient preparation to happen in the NICU, instead of the MRI room. Thus, when in the MRI room, the transport team transfers the neonatal incubator onto MRI scanner table without the need to sedate and position the patient, which saves time.
Additionally, the incubator system provides a safe, controlled and noise cancelling environment, which keeps the baby comfortable. This significantly improves image quality due to the absence of movement and reducing the need for repeat scans, which further saves time and, altogether, allows for more patients to be scanned.
The image quality during MRI scan of baby brain with the nomag neonatal incubator is significantly improved with the use of dedicated neonatal array head and body MRI coils. The use of neonatal MRI coils also reduces the need for repeat scans due to poor image acquisition.

The nomag® IC is compatible with the MRI scanners by Siemens, Philips and GE. It can be easily connected to the corresponding MRI systems. The functional reliability has been officially tested and approved by OEMs.
